Some of the best are competed tonight at the LSO, Caitlin Dechelle, Marc Canonizado, Tyler Weaver, Ross Levine, Stephanie Figueroa, Cole Ekhert just to name a few! Weapons flew, people flew - the competition was tough! The nighttime show should provide some of the best there is! Here are some competitors and judges from the LSO tonight. Great Seminar with Caitlin & Marc - tomorrow LSO begins!

Tonight was the seminar with Caitlin Dechelle And Marc Canonizado. Marc taught forms and tricks and Caitlin also worked on forms. These are two of the best on the NASKA circuit- come out tomorrow to the Renaissance Hotel in Austin Texas. They both will be competing!

We wanted to remind everyone that as per NASKA's 2010 division rules, music is NOT optional in ANY division other than specific musical divisions. In the past year music was optional in divisions such as creative, however this is no longer the case.

Ross Levine Seminar - Awesome Seminar!

I got to take part in a sparring seminar led by World Champ Ross Levine. I didn't know what to expect when I got there but I have to say it was worth getting up early and travelling downtown!
Ross Levine got us doing LOTS of conditioning letting us know that if your body is not ready - no amount of training in the world is going to help you become a better fighter! Conditioning must be number one in your training. We started with jumping jacks followed by criss cross jumping. There were also squat jumps and push ups. By the time that was over - my legs were on fire!!! He then taught us how to leap forward on your best fighting front leg showing us how to close the gap effectively. I have to say that I need to practice that more - its an interesting technique in that when we sparred - it does work!!! Also he showed us how to bounce around our opponent using our back leg as the pivotal point. There were more blitzing drills. We sparred for the last 30 minutes of the session and I have to say by that time - I was done!!!

I have decided to spar at the LoneStar Open and I have to say this seminar has helped me get ready for it! I look forward to watching Ross at the LoneStar Open!

I want to thank Mr. Beaver from the ASK for putting this together in preparation for the LoneStar Open. Also a very big thanks to Ross Levine who really gave a great seminar!

I am also looking for the other seminars that will be given the day before the open!!!! Hope to see you there!
